The Chandrabhaga river, an essential tributary that flows in a general south-westerly direction, is accompanied by its affluents: the Pili or Bahramkasand, on which the village of Karasgaon is situated; the Bichan river, passing through Paratwada; and the Sapan river, passing through Achalpur. The river courses past Wasni, Khallar, and Daryapur before joining the Purna approximately one and a half kilometers below Dhamodi. The river’s source lies just below the Vairat plateau and receives various small streams from the southern slopes of the Chikhaldara plateau and the Gawilgad plateau before flowing eastwards through a cultivated valley, which is approximately two kilometers in width and interrupts the contiguous forested areas on either side. South-west of Dhamangaon, it turns towards the south. The Bhuleshwari river is the principal affluent of the Chandrabhaga river, situated on the right bank, and it, in turn, receives the Gangadari river, another Satpuda stream. The Bhuleshwari river passes by Shindi Buzrug and Kokarda before meeting the Chandrabhaga near Daryapur, east of Babli.
