In the last few decades, due to lack of conservation, coffee plantations had started to disappear, but the eco-tourism department has now started conservation work here. There are coffee plantations on about 22 hectares of land, which will be expanded to 44 hectares. Keeping in mind the natural beauty and weather of the area, the department is developing it as an eco-tourism spot. Some cottages have been built in a hundred-year-old rest house.

In 1944, British woman Miss Florence Hedricks came here and set up a coffee plantation in the favorable climate of Kukru. She ran it for about two decades. But after her death, it went into decline. However, the eco-tourism department has now brought it back to life.
