Tiger sighted in Semadoh

Semadoh is famous for its natural beauty and lush green forest. This summer season, there have been frequent tiger sightings in the Kolkas-Semadoh region, creating enthusiasm among incoming tourists. The recently arrived Katrina tigress is a hot discussion topic due to her beauty and frequent sightings by tourists. The tigress is eight years old and has come from Satpura Tiger Reserve, but she has now settled in the Semadoh forest zone.

The movements of the tigress are being recorded through a collar ID band on her neck. According to data recorded by the forest department, she has been roaming in the Semadoh zone for the past one and a half years. She is frequently seen in the areas of Talai, Raipur, Chaurakund, Khari, and the Kawli gate.

Tiger sightings are much easier near limited water ponds in the core forest area. Tigers and other wild animals come to drink water from the waterholes. Various cameras are installed near waterholes to capture images of the movements of wild animals.

Semadoh is becoming increasingly popular among wildlife enthusiasts for wildlife tourism. The forest department has developed a tourist complex in Semadoh alongside the Sipna River. Tourists can enjoy their stay in the forest and go for jungle safaris at various timings. Semadoh village boasts many dhabas where tourists can relish delicious meals. Situated on the Paratwada-Dharni highway, Semadoh is well-connected for tourist movements.

The Kolkas tourist complex is also situated near Semadoh, another destination developed by the Forest Department. Kolkas is renowned for its elephant safaris and wildlife sightings.
